About dac® The Direct Action Company, Inc. began in 1983 with a single product called Direct Action. It was based on a "new" feed technology called chelation, where a mineral is wrapped with an enzyme to naturally enhance the utilization of the mineral. Today, biotechnology in the feed business has gone from an obscure area of research to become an industry in its own right. We have been able to take advantage of the latest research and technology to give our customers products that will enhance the performance of their horses whether they are working in the fields or showing in the ring.

Currently, the Direct Action Company, Inc., offers around twenty dac products. By working with biotech firms and research specialists, we are able to offer products that are geared to meet the unique needs of the horse and its owner.

dac Mission Statement
To provide the finest equine nutritional products at the most economical price we possibly can in order to enhance the performance of our customer’s horse.

National Animal Supplement Council

Direct Action is a member of NASC

The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) is an industry group dedicated to protecting and enhancing the health of companion animals and horses throughout the United States. NASC members include manufacturers, suppliers, veterinarians, distributors, dealers, retailers and animal owners.

NASC is actively working with federal and state regulators for nationally consistent, fair and responsible regulation. Since 2001, NASC members must agree to adhere to the quality standards outlined in the Compliance - Plus Program. Beginning in 2004, members that successfully pass an independent facilities audit may use the NASC Quality Seal on their product labels. The Seal is a way for consumers to know that when they buy a product, they buy from a reputable supplier that is concerned about the industry and is diligently working to elevate the standards for everyone.

Consumers will come to know the NASC Seal as the symbol for quality and value when it appears on product packaging. The Seal may only be used by member companies who meet or exceed the NASC quality standards; an accomplishment that stands alone in the industry. Only members who meet these requirements may display the NASC Quality Seal on their products.

Buying from NASC members is the best way consumers can support efforts to improve the quality of animal supplements and help ensure the continued availability of these products in the United States.
